Vodafone Ireland and ESB's JV company, SIRO, has selected Irish Mapping & GIS Solutions Limited (IMGS) to supply and deploy Intergraph software to help with the planning, design and build-out of a 100-percent fibre-to-the-building (FTTB) broadband network. SIRO will use Intergraph's commercial-off-the-shelf software, including Intergraph G/Technology, Fibre Optic Works and Hexagon Geospatial GeoMedia for high-level network planning and design. The software will also be used by third-party contractors to survey and build the network.
