Size of Yoigo remains a problem - TeliaSonera

TeliaSonera announced at Mobile World Congress that its Spanish mobile subsidiary Yoigo, the fourth largest mobile network operator in the local market, has reached 4 million subscribers. However, TeliaSonera CEO Johan Dennelind told Reuters during the event that the company remained too small to compete effectively in Spain. "Being number four with a 7 percent market share in a converged market… is not great for long-term profitability or sustainability," he said, adding that "we need to find a way to move Yoigo to a sustainable position." TeliaSonera has a 76.6 percent stake in Yoigo, and
