Thursday 1 August 2019 | 09:47 CET | News
South Korean operator SK Broadband has hit 5 million subscribers to its IPTV service dubbed 'B TV', The Korea Times reports. SK Broadband, a subsidiary of mobile operator SK Telecom, said the achievement came 13 years after it launched its IPTV service. SK Broadband ended 2018 with 4.73 million IPTV subscribers, which represented a growth of 10 percent year-on-year. Of the overall IPTV customer base, more than half used the premium UHD services, the operator said. SK Telecom's online video service Oksusu reached 9.73 million subscribers at 31 December 2018.
