SK Group to launch regional headquarters in Malaysia

South Korea's SK group will open its regional headquarters in Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur to power its expansion in Southeast Asia, India and the Middle East. SK, which controls South Korean mobile operator SK Telecom, has signed a MoU with the Malaysian government to study investment opportunities in fields including 5G mobile services, oil and gas, green technology and smart cities, Nikkei reports, citing SK group Chairman Chey Tae-won. The Kuala Lumpur base will be the group's second regional head office, after Beijing.
