SK Telecom in talks to acquire cable TV operator Tbroad - report

South Korean mobile operator SK Telecom plans to acquire the country's second-biggest cable TV operator Tbroad, owned by local conglomerate Taekwang Group. SK Telecom seeks to merge its internet services unit SK Broadband with Tbroad, The Korea Herald reports, citing unnamed industry sources. According to these sources, SK Telecom and Taekwang are expected to conclude the deal by the end of this week. "We are not sure exactly how things would come out eventually as negotiation is still underway", said an official from SK Telecom. The official declined to comment on details related to the
