SK Telecom, Nokia Networks partner on NB-IoT research

SK Telecom has signed a MoU with Nokia Networks to jointly research and develop narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) communication technologies. Under the terms of the agreement, SK Telecom and Nokia Networks will co-develop NB-IoT that uses a bandwidth of 0.2 MHz (or 200 kHz). The two companies will also develop diverse uses cases and key technologies related to NB-IoT, while carrying out standardization efforts for NB-IoT at 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project).
