SK Telecom tests self-driving car on highway

South Korean operator SK Telecom has tested its self-driving vehicle on highway, Yonhap news agency reports. SK Telecom said its self-driving car ran 26 kilometers earlier in the day with an average speed of 47 km/h from Seoul to Suwon with two passengers on board. The maximum speed of self-driving cars in South Korea is currently set at 80 km/h. According to SK Telecom, the car increased its speed only when it was at a safe distance from other vehicles. It also adapted its speed throughout the process, and gave way to other cars at junctions.
