SK Telecom to deploy Nugu AI platform at Korean store chain

Monday 24 July 2017 | 12:10 CET | News
South Korean operator SK Telecom will team up with a domestic convenience store chain to deploy its 'Nugu' artificial intelligence platform to support store employees. SK Telecom will test run its Nugu platform at convenience store chain CU in the first half of 2018, Yonhap news agency reports. Under the trial, store clerks will be able to ask Nugu work-related questions via voice, without calling the headquarters to ask these questions. The AI platform will notify workers of promotions and orders from the headquarters. It can also assist staff in case of emergencies.
