SK Telecom to invest KRW 5 tln in self-driving cars, AI, IoT

South Korean operator SK Telecom has announced it plans to invest KRW 5 trillion in the development of artificial intelligence (AI), autonomous driving vehicles and IoT-based services over the next three years, The Koreas Times reports. SK Telecom previously said it would invest 6 trillion won through 2019 in the deployment of 5G network systems. The planned investment will be carried out in cooperation with its subsidiaries SK Broadband and SK Planet.
