
SK Telecom tops 20,000 wearable subs in first 3 weeks

South Korean mobile carrier SK Telecom has attracted 200,000 subscribers to its T Outdoor customized service for wearable devices in the first three weeks since service launch, The Korea Bizwire reports. Introduced on 5 November, the T Outdoor service allows customers to access voice and data services without using their smartphone when going out. The T Outdoor service is available in combination with a rate plan for communications module-equipped wearable devices. To celebrate the 20,000 T Outdoor subscribers milestone, SK will offer Starbucks mobile coupons to new subscribers who sign up for the rate plan until 12 December.
