Skagerak Nett picks Ericsson to supply smart energy meters

Skagerak Nett has selected Ericsson to provide smart electricity meters to more than 180,000 customers in Norway. Skagerak Nett's customers will get new smart electricity meters starting from next year and the project is expected to be completed by 2019. In addition, Ericsson will be responsible for operations, support and maintenance during the project period. Skagerak Energi operates in the areas of Vestfold and Grenland and its wholly owned subsidiary Skagerak Nett is one of the largest network companies in Norway with 185,000 customers.
