Sky director calls for Gigabit broadband network

Sky's Group CFO & MD for Commercial Businesses, Andrew Griffith, has reiterated the company's call for fundamental changes to the UK broadband market. In a blog posting, Griffith argues that decisions being made over the next few months will be incredibly important for everyone in the UK, affecting the choice, service and speeds received by families and businesses nationwide. He insists that BT having sole contract of the national telecoms network, through its Openreach division, creates a conflict of interest because Openreach also provides services to BT's rivals.
