Sky H1 revenue up 5% on strong customer additions

Pay-TV provider Sky reported revenue up 5 percent to GBP 5.6 billion in its fiscal first half to the end of December, compared to a year earlier. Operating profit rose by 16 percent to GBP 675 million, and adjusted EPS reached GBP 0.271. The board declared a GBP 0.123 interim dividend. The group had 20.61 million retail customers at the end of December, up by 448,000 in a quarter and by 1.19 million in a year. Wholesale customers increased to 4.24 million, up by 45,000 in the quarter and by 343,000 in a year. Paid-for products reached 52.03 million, 1.49 million more than at the end of
