Sky says remedies filed by Fox would guarantee media plurality

Tuesday 3 April 2018 | 13:16 CET | News
Sky said both of the remedy proposals put forth by 21st Century Fox to the UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) would address media plurality concerns. Fox wants to fully acquire Sky but has hit a number of hurdles, and mainly concerns over media plurality in the UK. Sky said the remedies however would guarantee the long-term future of Sky News and its ongoing editorial independence. The company added that shareholders should not take any action yet and that a further announcement will be made when appropriate.
