Sky targets further cost cuts to offset Premier League cost

Pay-TV provider Sky reported a strong increase in annual results and said it will target further cost reductions in the coming year in order to offset the growing costs of content. Revenues for the 12 months to June rose 20 percent to GBP 11.965 billion, and operating profit was up 1 percent to GBP 977 million. Adjusted net earnings were up 13 percent to 63.1 pence, and Sky increased its dividend by 2 percent to 33.5 pence per share.
