SkyCross achieves close to 600 Mbps with new LTE antennas

Advanced antenna and RF systems manufacturer SkyCross has unveiled a new line of LTE antennas that achieve data rates approaching 600 Mbps. The announcement was made during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. SkyCross's Dual iMAT technology allows four or more antennas to compactly fit into a smartphone form factor, while maintaining sufficient isolation to enable 4X4 MIMO (multiple input multiple output). Deutsche Telekom said it employed the new antennas in its latest field testing, achieving 580 Mbps peak speed on a live LTE network environment, and revealing the antenna's robustness
