Slovenia invites bidders for Telekom Slovenije
The Slovenian government has published an invitation for expressions of interest to acquire a majority stake in Telekom Slovenije. The notice from state agency SOD was published in the Finance daily newspaper, the Financial Times and the Official Journal of Slovenia. The state is offering 72.75 percent of the share capital of Telekom Slovenije. Additional shareholders of Telekom Slovenije, which collectively own 2.83 percent of the company, have signed Letters of Intent expressing an interest in selling their shares alongside the state. The deadline for the submission of expressions of interest is 23 April.

Deutsche Telekom mulls bid for Telekom Slovenije - report

Deutsche Telekom is considering a bid for Slovenia's Telekom Slovenije, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg. JPMorgan Chase and Barclays are advising the German operator on an offer for the operator that is about 73 percent owned by Slovenia's government. Telekom Slovenije Group net profit rises 17% in 2013

The Telekom Slovenije Group posted net profit of EUR 52.3 million for 2013, a 17 percent increase on 2012. Operating revenues were EUR 799.2 million, up by EUR 3.9 million from a year earlier. It also announced a 3.75 percent reduction in its workforce in Slovenia. Operating profit amounted to EUR 71.5 million, up EUR 7.3 million or 11 percent on 2012. EBITDA was EUR 237.8 million, a decrease of 1 percent or 30.5 percent of net sales revenue on 2012.
