SLT Group's 9-month profit jumps 25%, revenue rises 6%

Wednesday 20 November 2019 | 09:09 CET | News
Sri Lanka Telecom Group posted profit of LKR 5 billion for the first nine months of 2019, which represents an increase of 25 percent year-on-year. Group revenue amounted to LKR 63.9 billion, up 6 percent year-on-year. Despite the challenges on voice revenue due to the boom in the internet consumption, all other segments of the Group positively contributed for the revenue growth, the company said. Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) expects its revenues to increase in the future with the ongoing accelerated Fiber Expansion Project under the National Fiberization Program.
