Small-screen tablets grow market share in Netherlands

Tablets with a screen size of less than 8 inches took a third of the Dutch tablet market in the first 11 months of 2013. That's up from 12 percent a year earlier, reports Nutech based on figures from GfK. Around a third of all tablet sales are now devices with screens of 7.0-7.9 inches. The higher share for smaller tablets came at the cost of devices with 9.0-9.9-inch screens, which saw a decline in market share to 32 percent in the first nine months of 2013 from 60 percent in 2012.
