Smart home device purchase intentions still low

The range of smart home products on the market continues to grow, but Dutch consumers are not showing growing interest, according to research by the Telecompaper Consumer Panel. Only 12 percent said in August that they expect to buy an IP security camera and 13 percent a 'smart' smoke alarm. In some cases, these percentages are down on the same survey six months ago, such as smart thermostats, which fell to a purchase intention of 10 percent within the next year from 13 percent in March.
