Smart Technology Centre provides IPv6 in South Africa

South African ISP Smart Technology Centre (STC) has rolled out Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) connectivity for client infrastructure and cloud services. IPv4, the de facto standard version that most electronic devices in South Africa still use to connect to the internet, has been around for many years and is essentially running out of IP addresses. Richard Morris, MD of Smart Technology Centre, said a basic analogy is to compare it to a number plate, which identifies where the computer is from and where it is going across the internet roadways and what information needs to be sent to and
