Smart TVs increasingly popular in Germany - study

Smart TVs that can connect to the internet are increasingly sought after in Germany, according to a representative study from research institute GfK conducted on behalf of German electrical and electronics industry group ZVEI. Over 50 percent of survey respondents said the internet capabilities of a TV set was "an important to very important" purchase criterion. Among millennials, that figure rose to 60 percent. The survey was conducted in September 2017 online among 2,005 participants in Germany over the age of 14.
