Smartphone shipments decline for first time ever in Q1

Global smartphone shipments fell 3 percent annually to 334.6 million units in the first quarter, the market's first annual decline ever, according to a study by Strategy Analytics, which attributed the slowing smartphone market to increasing penetration maturity in major markets like China and consumer caution about the future of the world economy.
