SMS Teleport chosen as European Gateway for Spacecom Amos-17 satellite

UK teleport Satellite Mediaport Services (SMS Teleport) has been selected by Space-Communication (Spacecom) as the European Gateway for its newly operational Amos-17 communications satellite.

SMS Teleport is now uplinking the first data services carriers over C-Band and Ku-Band (broadband internet and telecom) on Amos-17, which is located at the 17-degrees east orbital position serving Africa. It is providing high throughput services to Europe, Middle East and Africa, plus a host of digital video broadcast services.
