Snap buys Berlin-based Fit Analytics

Snap has acquired Berlin-based start-up Fit Analytics for USD 124.4 million, according to a 10-Q filing, a quarterly report that public companies file with the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC). The company acquired Fit to grow the e-commerce and shopping offering, it added in the filing. Fit Analytics has developed a platform helping shoppers to find the right outfit size from online retailers. It now offers a set of data-driven solutions to support business growth in the apparel industry. Companies can use machine learning for operations and to gather customer intelligence.
