Snap has unveiled a new model of its Spectacles, adding new cameras to create and view 3D images. The Spectacles 3 are available to pre-order online and will launch this fall, the company said.
Spectacles 3 come with a strong, lightweight steel frame and circular lenses. Two HD cameras on either side of the frame capture depth and dimension similar to the way eyes do, in order to power new augmented reality images and videos. Snap also introduced new 3D effects with lighting and landscapes to add to the images.
The Spectacles also come with a 3D Viewer so users can view the finished product and other users' images.
The enhanced glasses come with a higher price tag then the previous models, at EUR 370. A choice of two colours, carbon or mineral, is available.
