Snapchat has announced that it’s partnering with Amazon to introduce a new visual search feature, confirming earlier reports. The tool will allow Snapchat users to point the app's camera at an item, click on a link within the app and buy it on Amazon.com or the Amazon app, said the company in a blog post. "It's super easy to use. Simply point your Snapchat camera at a physical product or barcode, and press and hold on the camera screen to get started," said Snap.
The new feature will be initially rolled out to selected Snapchat users in the US, added the company. Snapchat’s tie-up with Amazon follows a partnership with Shazam that allows users to identify songs captured via the app’s camera before being invited to follow the artist.Snapchat, Amazon roll out visual product search
