Snapchat, Amazon roll out visual product search

Tuesday 25 September 2018 | 09:52 CET | News
Snapchat has announced that it's partnering with Amazon to introduce a new visual search feature, confirming earlier reports. The tool will allow Snapchat users to point the app's camera at an item, click on a link within the app and buy it on Amazon.com or the Amazon app, said the company in a blog post. "It's super easy to use. Simply point your Snapchat camera at a physical product or barcode, and press and hold on the camera screen to get started," said Snap.
