SoftBank develops billing system for vehicle charging

Japanese communications provider SoftBank has developed a billing system for electric vehicle charging stands, the Nikkei reports. The system will provide the usage and billing information on the charging facility and also send a bill to the user via the internet. Testing of the system will begin this month. The system could also be used to bill customers for charging their smartphone at stores.
