Softbank to use Sprint's network to expand cloud computing

Japanese communications provider SoftBank will expand corporate cloud computing and other services overseas through the global sales network of Sprint Nextel, the US operator it has just acquired, reports the Nikkei citing Softbank president Masayoshi Son. Son expects to expand the Softbank-Sprint alliance globally. Based on two data centres in Japan, in Tokyo and Osaka, Softbank's cloud computing service provides the equivalent of a full-fledged data centre accessible from the client's location.
