SoftBank ups Sprint stake

Japanese communications carrier SoftBank has bought 28.81 million shares in Sprint, or 0.73 percent, to bring its ownership in Sprint to 79.07 percent. The company plans to buy around 2 percent in Sprint shares through subsidiary Galaxy Investment Holdings. SoftBank recently acquired 78 percent of Sprint in a USD 21.6 billion deal.
