Some 28% of US TV viewing is streamed, 8% is on mobile - GfK

Some 28 percent of all US TV viewing is now down via digital streaming, according to new research from GfK MRI. The study found that accessing subscription or free online platforms via a computer or mobile device accounts for 16 percent of time spent with TV content, online streaming through a traditional TV set makes up another 9 percent and other methods for accessing content, such as portable game consoles, 3 percent. The report identifies 41 percent of TV viewers as "Digital Enthusiasts", subscribers to at least three digital TV services online on top of their traditional pay TV
