Sonatel posts 12% EBITDA increase, as customer gains continue in H1

Sonatel generated first-half EBITDAaL of XOF 277 billion, up 12.0 percent year-on-year (+14.4% in Q1), with growth driven by higher revenues and control of operational costs. The company said that all five countries where it is present posted a positive performance, highlighting customer gains across its international footprint, as well as in its core market of Senegal. Overall, group revenues rose 9.3 percent to XOF 642 billion, of which 61 percent came from its international operations. Senegal posted a growth rate of 4.2 percent, to XOF 250 billion in revenues.
