Sonatel signs deal to buy Gambia's Xoom Wireless

Senegalese operator Sonatel said it has entered into an agreement to acquire 91.6 percent of the share capital of Xoom Wireless, an ISP in Gambia. The agreement is subject to approval by Gambian authorities. Xoom Wireless offers a full spectrum of high-speed wireless packages including VoIP and other hosting services in the country.
