Sonos starts smart speaker subscription trial in the Netherlands
Sonos has quietly introduced a new trial subscription service for its connected speakers in the Netherlands, the Verge reported. The trial for Sonos Flex packages has for the moment been restricted to 500 homes in the country but could expand globally if successful.

Users will be able to choose among three options. The cheapest option costs EUR 15 per month and provides two Sonos One smart speakers than can be paired together or used separately in different rooms (EUR 458 if purchased at Sonos). The EUR 25 per month version delivers a Sonos Beam soundbar and two Sonos One speakers for TV audio (EUR 907 if purchased at Sonos). Finally, for EUR 50 per month, people will get a Playbar, Subwoofer, and two Sonos One speakers for a more robust home theater setup (EUR 2,026 if purchased at Sonos).

The speakers are available in either black or white, and will be automatically replaced with the latest models as they’re released. Subscribers can alter their subscriptions or cancel at any time. Orders take about four days to process and delivery is free, with an option for free professional installation of the EUR 50 system offered to Amsterdam residents. Sonos has its European headquarters in Hilversum, not too far from Amsterdam.
