Sony Mobile to invest BRL 250 million in Brazil in 2015

Sony Mobile plans to invest BRL 250 million in Brazil in 2015, a stable volume compared with last year, which will be focused on opening stores and on new waterproof models. Sony Mobile Brazil president Ricardo Junqueira told Reuters that despite the deteriorating macroeconomic environment, the forecast is for continued strong growth in smartphone sales in Brazil, in the order of 50 to 60 percent this year. Sony Mobile reported a 70 percent growth in turnover in Brazil in 2014.
