Sony unveils new Xperia XZ2 Premium, with pro camera, loudest speakers yet

Sony Mobile has launched its new Xperia XZ2 Premium smartphone. The top-of-the-range phone comes with a professional Motion Eye camera that can create as well as show 4K HDR content, a 3D glass surface and Sony’s loudest yet speakers for an Xperia smartphone. The phone will become available worldwide this summer in Chrome Black and Chrome Silver and will ship with Android 8.0 Oreo.

The camera has ISO 12800 sensitivity for video recording, and ultra-high sensitivity 51200 for photo display, enabling ultra-low light capture previously only seen in interchangeable lens cameras and with a bright live view-finder. The company said the camera sports a new dual sensor system and Aube fusion image signal processor, and also comes with Sony’s Bravia TV technology X-Reality for mobile, Sony’s new Dynamic Vibration System which analyses audio data and speakers with S-Force Front Surround. The phone can also accommodate sound enhancing technologies for Xperia such Hi-res Audio, DSHEE HX and LDAC.

The smartphone also features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 5.8-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and a 3540mAh battery with features such as Smart Stamina and STAMINA mode, plus Battery Care and Qnovo Adaptive Charging.
