South Africa govt reiterates plan for analogue switch-off by end-2018

South Africa's Minister of Communications, Ayanda Dlodlo has reiterated the government's commitment to completing the switch to digital broadcasting by December 2018, as agreed with the ITU. This follows a Constitutional Court ruling in June that government-subsidised set-top boxes should not include encryption.
