South African ISPA urges audit of radio spectrum use

The Internet Service Providers' Association (ISPA) has called on South Africa's Department of Communications to release information relating to progress made in auditing the use of radio frequency spectrum in South Africa, IT News Africa reported. The audit could prompt the regulator to reassign spectrum that is not being fully used by the companies to whom it is currently assigned. ISPA regulatory advisor Dominic Cull said in a statement that it is hard to find information about these audits and whether they have been completed.
