South Korean court dismisses Qualcomm's antitrust challenge

Tuesday 5 September 2017 | 10:01 CET | News
Qualcomm has announced that Seoul High Court dismissed its application to suspend the implementation of changes in its licensing practices, ordered by the Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) at the end of last year. In a statement, the US-based chipmaker said the High Court denied its stay application after finding that the company's business will not suffer irreparable harm if the KFTC's order remains in effect. Qualcomm said it would immediately appeal the ruling to the Korea Supreme Court.
