SpaceX reaches partnership agreement with Brazilian government

The Brazilian government and SpaceX have struck a deal to provide internet using low-orbit satellites in remote areas of Brazil and the Amazon region, according to Folha de Sao Paulo. Deployment will start in 2022 . The partnership does not require bidding, and can be closed through an administrative process via the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel). SpaceX has requested a license from the agency and is awaiting clearance.
