Spain 5G tender tops EUR 400 mln on 4th day

Tuesday 24 July 2018 | 10:19 CET | News
Spain has attracted bids totalling EUR 402 million in the fourth day of bidding for 5G spectrum licences in the 3.6-3.8 GHz, quadrupling the EUR 100 million starting price for the 200 MHz available, according to the latest update from the country's economic ministry. The highest bids for the 5 MHz blocks on sale ranged from EUR 8.88-12.01 million compared with the EUR 2.5 million starting price, said the ministry without yet specifying the bids corresponding to each of the four leading operators (Movistar, Vodafone, Orange and Masmovil).
