Spain approves EUR 5 mln funding for MWC Barcelona

Spain's Secretary of State for Digital Advancement announced that the council of ministers approved a direct government grant of EUR 5 million to the Mobile World Capital Barcelona Foundation as part of its commitment to keep the GSMA Mobile World Congress (MWC) in the Catalan capital. The grant is also designed to promote the growth of the economy through projects related to technological innovation and digitalisation, said the secretary of state. "It is important that Spain has emblematic forums such as the MWC that serve to generate great added value and place our country at the forefront
