Monday 21 May 2018 | 10:01 CET | News
Spain has surged into the top 10 of the EC's Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI) for 2018, posting significant improvements in all performance indicators and registering the fastest progress since the ranking was first published in 2014. The country has improved from 16th to 10th position in the listing of 28 EU member states, posting a score of 58.0, up from the 53.3 it recorded last year and well ahead of the EU average of 54.0, albeit still behind the best-performing countries such as Denmark, Sweden, Finland and the Netherlands.
