Spain to bring forward DTT migration in border areas

Spain's industry ministry is set to bring forward the release of 800 MHz band frequencies for LTE deployment in some areas bordering with France and Portugal, reports Expansion. Although the government recently extended until 31 March the deadline for completing the migration of DTT channels to free up the 800 MHz spectrum, it will accelerate the process and close down broadcasts in specific areas to ensure that there is no interference with French and Portuguese LTE services.
