Spain to crack down on automated customer services

Spain's Council of Ministers has approved a draft law that will require large companies to cease using answering machines to field customer calls. The new Law on Customer Services includes the requirement for any company with more than 250 workers to ensure that human agents respond to the needs of users via the customer numbers provided rather than robots and automated systems.
