Spain watchdog approves Telefonica's wholesale fibre price

Monday 28 May 2018 | 08:53 CET | News
Spanish regulator CNMC has given the green light to Telefonica's proposed wholesale fibre rates. The former incumbent agreed to lower the so-called NEBA local wholesale service to a maximum of EUR 17.57 month from the previous EUR 19.93 per month pursuant to the provisions of the broadband regulation approved in 2016. Under those rules, Telefonica is obliged to provide virtual access to its fibre network throughout Spain, except in the 66 municipalities deemed more competitive by the regulator.
