Spain watchdog confirms Telefonica wholesale fibre price following review

Spanish regulator CNMC has confirmed that Telefonica's wholesale fibre rates allow alternative operators to replicate the former incumbent's flagship fibre-based products. In a statement, the watchdog said a review of the methodology used to ensure that the prices set by Telefonica can be replicated by alternative operators served to verify the current wholesale cost of EUR 17.57 a month per line. Telefonica lowered the price of the so-called NEBA local wholesale service from the previous EUR 19.93 a month a year ago, with the CNMC committing to review the operator's list of 'emblematic'
