Spain's MasMovil to launch TV service in H1 2018 - CEO

Spain's fourth mobile network operator MasMovil is set to finally launch its own TV service in the first half of 2018 with a view to competing with the popular convergent offers of its rivals Telefonica, Vodafone and Orange, reports Expansion, citing the company's CEO Meinrad Spenger. Without specifying any agreement with a provider, Spenger said the content will be offered through an open platform. Previous reports have suggested that the operator will be teaming up with Huawei to launch a neutral pay-TV service via an Android-based device that will give customers access to content from
