Spain's MasMovil to retain Pepephone brand

Friday 29 April 2016 | 14:13 CET | News
Spanish operator MasMovil has no intention of phasing out the Pepephone brand after acquiring the MVNO, reports website MovilZona, citing MasMovil CEO Meinrad Spenger. "Pepephone won't disappear because we greatly value the brand," said Spenger, adding that MasMovil will respect Pepephone's conditions and tariffs but will offer customers services they have previously lacked, including fibre-optic based broadband. He also confirmed that Pepephone will continue to operate on the Movistar (Telefonica) network even though MasMovil has a long-term deal in place to use Orange Spain's network.
