Spanish court gives ultimatum to football streaming site

A Madrid mercantile court has accepted a complaint from Spanish broadcaster Mediapro and ordered popular Spanish p2p link site Roja Directa to take down links to live sports games or face closure. The website, which now operates under the domain name rojadirecta.me, hosts numerous p2p links to major sports events, above all Spain's top tier football league La Liga, and has been accused of costing Spanish broadcasters over EUR 500 million per year through piracy of football streams.
